Abstract
production in Taiwan is clubroot disease which caused by a soil-borne plant pathogen, Plasmodiophora brassicae Woronin. The current control effect for clubroot disease in Taiwan is quite limited. In contrast, Japan has resistant varieties against clubroot disease. Given that the cabbage grafting technique had been developed in our laboratory, this research hopes to use Japanese resistant varieties as rootstocks, and ‘K-Y cross’ cabbage as the scion to further explore the effect of grafting on cabbage clubroot disease resistance, as well as the effect on yield and quality of cabbage. Therefore, this research will developed a new system for cabbage production which will reduced yield reduction caused by clubroot disease and has potential applicable to against other disease or bring other diverse advantages.
