We found that rosiglitazone (one of anti-diabetic drug) activates AMPK activity, and then enhances the phosphorylation of S385 of Kir6.2, and inhibits current of KATP channel, then elevates the membrane potential of β cells, ultimately leads to stimulate insulin secretion (Diabetologia 2009; 52 (6):1112-1121).
