The introduction of cyclosporine (CyA) in clinical transplantation has improved the results of this treatment tremendously. However, the dose of CyA and the results of its long-term use are a concern because of its nephrotoxic effects. In the following, our clinical results are reviewed to evaluate graft and patient survival after renal transplantation with cyclosporine and steroids as the basic immunosuppressive agents.#0691#
