標題: | 台灣西部第三系之層序地層學研究(I) | 其他標題: | Sequence Stratigraphic Analysis of the Tertiary Strata in Western Taiwan (1) | 作者: | 鄧屬予 | 關鍵字: | 台灣西部;第三系;層序地層;岩相變 化;地層對比;Western Taiwan;Tertiary;Sequence Stratigraphy;Facies Change;Stratigraphic Correlation | 公開日期: | 1999 | 出版社: | 臺北市:國立臺灣大學地質科學系暨研究所 | 摘要: | 第三系廣布於台灣西部的雪山山脈、西部麓 山帶、海岸平原和台灣海峽的地下,是濱海-淺 海大陸棚的堆積層。 根據三條露頭剖面與三口鑽井的資料,漸新 統至下中新統的岩相,呈現明顯地由東向西變深 與增厚的變化。中上中相統的岩相,在整個研究 區域並沒有顯著的差異;不過在台灣中部,上中 新統具有顯著的沈積間斷。在露頭剖面中,漸新 統-中新統的層序變化顯示有18 次的相對海水面 升降;而在鑽井記錄中,中新統的層序變化顯示 有12 次的相對海水面升降。 在整個研究區域中,藉由超微化石與有孔蟲 生物地層所構成的時間地層架構,這些層序在剖 面間可以一一對比,此一初步結果顯示,這些層 序應可以作為細部地層劃分與對比的依據,值得 並需要更多研究剖面的檢驗,以檢討並擴大其應 用的範圍。 In western Taiwan, Tertiary strata are widely outcropped in the Hsueshan Range and Western Foothills, and distributed in the subsurface geology of the Coastal Plain and Taiwan Strait. They were deposited in a coastal to shallow shelf environment. Based on 3 outcrop sections and 3 electric well logs, the facies of the Oligocene and lower Miocene deepen and thicken westwards significantly. Those of the middle-upper Miocene are generally the same throughout the studied area. However, there is distinct upper Miocene unconformity in central Taiwan. In the outcrop sections, the Oligocene-lower Miocene depositional sequences display 18 transgression-regression cycles. In the well logs, the Miocene depositional sequences display 12 T-R cycles. Under the chronostratigraphic framework delineated by available nannofossil/foraminer biostratigraphic data, these sequences are well correlated and appear to be consistent between sections. The preliminary results suggest these sequences could serve as detailed stratigraphic divisions and correlation among these Tertiary strata. It is worthy of further examination from more stratigraphic sections in different area to evaluate the validity and practicability of this sequence stratigraphic template. |
