dc.description.abstract | 本計劃之目的是研究台灣西部新構造運動與地震
機制之關係。台灣一直被認為是環太平洋造山帶的
一個典型。台灣的新構造運動,主要由歐亞大陸板
塊及菲律賓海板塊的斜向聚合現象所控制;除了這
個機制以外,大部分的前陸構造,亦強烈的受到北
港及觀音兩個構造高區所影響。在這些構造高區
旁,台灣西部第四紀的台地亦開始發展及變形。
伴隨這些構造事件的台灣前陸構造,由北而
南可以簡單的描述於後:台灣北部的構造是以擠
縮,橫移,旋轉及伸張變形之組合為其特徵。桃園–
林口台地則代表在觀音高區上一個較穩定的構
造。雪山–出磺坑區域,處在兩構造高區之間呈現
擠壓堆疊及拱起之現象。玉山山脈為一擠縮構造,
而旗山–屏東區域,則也以逃脫構造為其特徵。這
些構造的生成,可以由野外的觀察,模型分析與地震研究得到驗證。 | zh_TW |
dc.description.abstract | Taiwan has been considered as a modern analog
of collision belt of the circum-pacific area. This
proposed investigation is mainly to focus on the study
of the neotectonics in the Taiwan Mountain Belt. The
neotectonics of the Taiwan mountain belt is mainly
controlled by the oblique convergence between the
Eurasian plate and the Philippine Sea plate. In
addition to this mechanism, most of foreland
structures are strongly influenced by the existence of
the Peikang and Kuanyin structural highs. Around
these structural highs, the Quaternary tablelands in the
western Taiwan were developed and deformed. The foreland structures of Taiwan in association
with this tectonic events can be briefly summerized,
from the north to the south, as: The northeastern
Taiwan is characterized by the escape structures. The
Taoyuan-Linkou Tableland represent a relatively
stable structures sitting on the Kuanyin High. The
Hsuehshan-Chuhuangkeng area is distinguished by
squeeze-out or pop-up structures between the two
structural highs, the Tatu and Pakua Tablelands are
relatively stable, sitting on the Peikang High. The
Yushan area is characterized by a transfer zone and
the Chishan-Pingtung area is also marked by the
escape structures.
The formation of these structures are in accord
with the field observations and paleomagnetic data. | en |
