Most research focuses on the features of natural environments such as naturalness, elements, beauty and so on, but seldom discusses the influences of landscape color and their physical-psychological benefits. There are lots of studies on the influence of color on psychology and physiology, but not so many studies on what effect environmental colors have on both of psychological and physical benefits. Consequently, this study attempt to figure out what benefits and impact the composition of environmental colors has on psychological and physical health. Experiments were conducted in 11 sites of different leisure farms and 429 subjects were collected with 11 pictures of landscapes of these leisure farms. The physiological health indicators used in this study are heart rate, electroencephalography and electromyography. The psychological measurements are attention restorative and emotional experience. This study used the RBG color model to analyze the composition of RBG’s percentage of farms’ landscapes. This study found percentage of red color has a negative relation to alpha waves of right brain; percentage of green color has a positive relation to attention restorative and electromyography; percentage of blue color has a negative relation to electromyography. The result proved the percentages of RGB might be a factor in the psychological and physical health impact of leisure farms. ? 2021 International Society for Horticultural Science.
