The design, synthesis and characterizations of two phenyldibenzophosphole oxide-based acceptors with para- and meta-substituted benzonitrile peripherals for fine-tuning the frontier orbitals are reported. With suitably selected indenocarbazole-based donors, blue to deep blue exciplex-forming systems with thermally activated delayed fluorescence were identified and verified by time-resolved photoluminescence. |
