Life sciences (or biological sciences) are basic disciplines of medicine, agriculture and conservation. In past two decades, biological researches became dominant and greatly change our health, food and natural environment. Following the trends of modern biological sciences, the College of Life Science, NTU, was established in 2003. The Department of Life Science is reorganized from the former Institute of Fishery Science, Departments of Zoology and Department of Botany. The department offers undergraduate program only from 2003-2013. In 2013, the department merges the Institutes of Zoology, and offers master and doctoral degree.
