The surgical Department emphasize high quality works in surgical science, postoperative patient care and clinical education. We had outstanding achievements which including successful separation for seven pairs conjoint twins, high successful survival rate after organ transplantation, extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) for critically illed patients. We have 62 full time staffs, 74 part time staffs and 69 residents for performing more than 10,000 surgeries per year, including subspecialty of general-, proctocolo-, pediatric, cardiovascular, thoracic, neuro-, and plastic surgeries. Also, we have well trained surgical intensive care units.
We offer the fullest possible range of up to date clinical care and contribute in a major way to clinical investigation. We will identify the critical questions and systematically address those inquiries in their research laboratories and programs. The surgical department will accomplish the unique mission in an atmosphere of mutual respect and support for all elements of our faculty and staff. We constantly seek all possible innovated ways to refine the quality of surgical-related works, our professionalism and, of course, for the health care of our people in Taiwan.
