Abstract
摘要:本計畫欲利用新型態的陶瓷奈米管製備成奈米級超薄膜,應用於高通量的海水淡化製程。本計畫基於計畫主持人過去四年多來於陶瓷奈米管研究領域奠定之基礎,繼續深化陶瓷奈米管的基礎學理與其工程應用。本計畫將分為兩個階段進行。第一階段我們將結合本團隊過去所建立之奈米材料模擬與優化技術與內表面改質技術,篩選出高水通量、高鹽類離子阻隔率的陶瓷奈米管材料。而在第二階段的研究中,我們將利用本團隊建立的超音波噴塗技術,將第一年篩選出的數種陶瓷奈米管製備為薄膜,並且進行薄膜海水淡化的測試。在測試過程中,我們將同時配合各項奈米薄膜檢測技術(如:SEM、AFM、GISAXS、GIWAXS)來釐清陶瓷奈米管薄膜中各項微結構與海水淡化效能之差異。具體來說,我們將精準調控奈米管孔洞大小、內表面官能基、奈米管在薄膜內之排列方式來最佳化陶瓷奈米管薄膜之海水通量與鹽類阻隔效能。
Abstract: This proposed work is aimed at preparing novel ultrathin ceramic nanotube membranes for the fresh water production. In the past four years, the PI of this proposal has focused on the advancement of ceramic nanotubes. Based on what our group has developed, this project will continue the investigations of the fundamentals of ceramic nanotubes as well as their device applications. We propose a two-phase research plan to achieve our goals. In Phase I, we will employ the techniques of interior functionalization and molecular simulations for the assessment of the nanotube properties of water and ion transport. Through the investigation of Phase I, we will identify several promising types of ceramic nanotubes for fresh water production. In the study of Phase II, we will employ the ultrasonic nozzle spray deposition for the fabrication of ultrathin nanotube membranes for the tests of sea water desalination. At the sample time, a number of membrane characterization will be conducted, including SEM, AFM, GISAXS, and GIWAXS. We will precisely control the microstructure of ceramic nanotube membranes for the optimization of their fresh water production performance. The ultimate goal of this proposed research is to fabricate novel ceramic nanotube membrane for the high-flux freshwater production.
