Abstract
摘要:乳癌早期發現與治療,可提高病患存活率,因此精確的診斷儀器對於乳癌初步篩檢、或進一步良惡性診斷,對於降低乳癌的死亡率扮演重要角色。乳房腫瘤的良惡性在非侵入式診斷中,除了從其外型來進行判別以外,其生物力學特徵也與良惡性有極大相關性,以申請者過去所建立之規則形狀與固定硬度的生物模型為基礎,本計劃試圖針對不規則形狀以及各種硬度的乳房腫瘤,建立一生物力學模型,利用模糊類神經配合基因演算法的人工智慧技術,利用實驗方法建立出在橫向探測下的生物力學模型,找出在設定的橫向探測條件下,透過超音波影像所得之腫瘤外形資訊,配合橫向探測之觸覺資訊,求出內部腫瘤硬度,並以腫瘤硬度與腫瘤分類之統計結果中,判別腫瘤之良惡性。本計劃更將進一步以所求得之生物力學模型為基礎,針對超音波探頭進行改良,發展最佳橫向探測策略,並研製可用來輔助進行診斷良惡性的儀器設備,進行腫瘤判別的正確性測試。
Abstract: Early detection of breast cancer can effectively increase the survival rate of patients. It depends on accurate diagnostic modality for screening the lesion as benign or malignant. In recent years, image modality combined with biomechanical characteristics has received more and more attentions. In this project, we extend our previous study of a biomechanical model for regular-shaped embedded tumor with specific stiffness to irregular-shaped one with large variety of stiffness. First of all, phantoms will be made to represent the breast and tumors. Large numbers of experiments using lateral exploration of tumors underneath the breast phantoms will be conducted. Based on the tactile information measured from lateral exploration of breast tumor phantoms, we will construct a biomechanical model using artificial intelligence technique, in which a neural fuzzy model will be chosen to represent the biomechanical model and back propagation with genetic algorithm will be used to train the parameters. The irregularity of the tumor’s shape will be quantized and a compensation scheme will be proposed to calculate the correction stiffness. In the second year, we will develop an assisted diagnostic device by modifying a commercially available ultrasonic probe with embedded force sensor and a 3D optical tracking system. We will use the device to verify the utility of the proposed biomechanical model clinically incorporation with ChungHua Christian Hospital.
