摘要:本分項計畫由機械工程學系(研究所)負責規劃與執行,本系(所)研究所除配合國內工業界之需求外,並因應國際機械工程科技之發展趨勢,除了當前最迫切的精密奈米製造、新能源技術、智慧型機器人的研究外,本系在微機電系統、次世代引擎燃燒技術、奈米科技、分子動力學、結構完整性及可靠度分析、流體動力、製造技術相關之熱流研究、系統動力、精密控制等方面為研究的主題,為落實研究成果,促進工業技術之升級,特別鼓勵研究組之成立,並加強應用研究。
一、改善教學品質方面:機械系大學部近5年來在大學招生考試第二類組排名均為前9名,並逐年向上提升,今(102)年更躍升至第6名。為創造世界一流的教育與研究環境,本系將以「因應科技與工業之發展趨勢,以培養具前瞻與領導能力之優秀機械工程人才為宗旨」作為本系的教育目標,並建立起自我評估與持續檢討改進的機制,重點作法包括系所自我評鑑與工程及科技教育認證等,預期績效為藉「工程教育認證」所要求的各項評量對各課程同學的學習成效進行評量並持續改進,以確保本系的教育品質。
二、增進研究能量方面:在全體師生同仁共同努力下,本系在2013年之QS世界排名躍升至第37名,充份顯示出本系在研究教學的表現在國際上是一流水準並有高知名度。本系將結合教授專長,加強教師團隊合作機制,鼓勵資深研究傑出教師帶領新進教師組成研究團隊,重點規劃研究計畫,提升各組研究能量,推動特色研究及發展新領域,促進產業研究合作交流與爭取研究資源。在研究能量的部份將分為研究的量與質兩個方向來提升,從量的方面,計畫以每年百分之五到十的成長率逐年提高本系SCI論文的發表數量,達到與世界第一流大學相當的水準;從質的方面希望使機械系研究進入亞洲機械領域第一流的研究所的範疇。
三、提升產學合作方面:鼓勵並協助教授積極爭取大型產學合作計畫,如經濟部技術處的學界科專計劃、工研院自主性前瞻研究計畫及學研合作計畫,並與機械產業相關的大企業建立研究實驗室,加強產學合作,本系將以四年的時間建立與北部各大企業的合作關係。如本系與華創車電合作成立車電創新研發中心成為台灣車輛研發之產、官、學、研的研發交流互動平台。
Abstract: This sub-project is proposed by the Department of Mechanical Engineering and the Graduate Institute of Mechanical Engineering. The goal of the Department and Graduate Institute is to meet the needs of domestic industries as well as to in-sync with the international trends of advanced mechanical engineering and technologies. Our current research topics include metal forming, nanotechnology, structure and reliability analysis, evaluation research (vibration, destruction, and system analysis), computer-aided manufacturing, mechanisms, precision machine design, precision manufacturing, automation, combustion and energy technology, fluid dynamics, thermodynamics and fluid dynamics in manufacturing technology, aerospace, system dynamics, system control, microelectronics, etc. To promote our advanced research results as well as to facilitate mechanical engineering industries, we actively establish research focus groups to strengthen applications research.
The Department has a balanced development in the following four areas: teaching, research, internationalization, and university-industry cooperation. In the new era, we expect to highlight the uniqueness of our research through excellent interaction between faculty and students. We would like to make our strategic research the highest class standard in Asia and be recognized internationally. Quantitatively, each professor is expected to publish three or more SCI articles each year, one should be published in a major journal in their area; at least six professors should receive research awards each year, nationally and internationally; at least three international conferences will be organized each year; at least four renowned scholars will be invited to offer seminars.
In the teaching aspect, we not only equip students with general knowledge and hands-on ability, but also inspire them with life-long learning interests. Instructors’ teaching quality will be improved through teaching evaluations. Quantitatively, each professor is expected to achieve at least 4.5 out of 5 on their teaching evaluation. More professors are encouraged to receive university teaching excellence awards in the future.
In the service aspect, professors in our department have been actively involved in all types of university committees and government consulting work. We also help protect intellectual properties to help the mechanical engineering discipline to have effective impacts in both academia and in government. In the past, most of our alumni worked at research and academic institutes. Now, we encourage our excellent graduates to also contribute their strengths to Taiwan’s industry, to help promote industry to the next level, one of the most challenging efforts in current Taiwan industry.
