Description
近視程度無安全界限，目前無法完全避免發生，僅能透過眼科醫師治療延緩。年幼使用電子產品增加近視風險，特別是長時間低頭看手機螢幕可能導致眼軸增長。高度近視與眼病如視網膜剝離、青光眼、白內障、視神經退化、黃斑病變相關。為避免高度近視增加，需從孩童時期開始預防，因研究指出年紀越小開始近視，未來罹患高度近視機率大增。東亞地區近視盛行率全球最高，區域性研究尤為重要，不同生活型態、文化下預測不同，無法套用其他區域研究成果，本研究對醫生參考影響重大。
