Abstract
In this paper, we combine frequency and amplitude/phase modulation over frequency-nonselective channel which can be approximated well as a complex constant over one coherence interval. We investigate the noncoherent block modulation that is based on amplitude/phase constellations, that are more power efficiency than conventional differential phase shift keying and NFSK/LDPSK modulation. The GLRT decision rule jointly estimates the channel and the data, and does not require another overhead or pilot symbols, and the decision rule is also used to obtain low complexity signal detection at the receiver.
