Abstract
This study proposed a (k, W) rule for a single-product and high-volume wafer fabrication. A search algorithm is constructed to determine lot size, k, and workload, W, to minimize weighted sum of job waiting time, machine idle time, and setup time. As observed from the simulation results, (k, W) rule performs best.
