Abstract
A [2]rotaxane undergoes switching of its bis-p-xylyl-[26]crown-6 (BPX26C6) component away from its guanidinium station toward its 2,2’-bipyridyl and carbamate stations upon the addition and removal of Zn2+ and PO43- ions, respectively.
