Abstract
Thin-film terahertz polarizers on PET substrates are created using a low-cost laser direct writing technique with large-area production capabilities. The single-layer design has an extinction ratio greater than 25 dB from 0.1 THz to 0.5 THz and a transmittance of 70%. The bilayer wire-grid polarizer design has an extinction ratio higher than 50 dB at 0.5 THz.
