Abstract
This study integrates propeller current meters coupling with acoustic Doppler current instruments to conduct a full-tide study in the Wuweigang tidal effect wetland. The full-tide measurement composites the water level and flow rate data of a complete tidal period during the flood season, and then the flow discharge of tide is estimated. The study found that the flow discharge of wetland tidal inflow is much larger than the freshwater flow. Additionally, the bottom tracking function of ADCP is used for topography measurement under water. At the same time, we supplemented Real-Time Kinematic technology to verify the elevation that measured by ADCP from the spring area to the outflow gate. In addition, the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle, UAV, was used to capture the land image of the Wuweigang tidal effect wetland. The image analysis technique and the RTK technology are integrated for land topographic analysis. The elevation correction value of bottom tracking function of ADCP is analyzed and applied. Therefore, the power law decreasing relationship between the elevation correction value and curvature coefficient of grain size is preliminary established in this study. © 2019, Chinese Institute of Civil and Hydraulic Engineering.
