Abstract
A high bandwidth biquadrant buck-boost servo amplifier with nonlinear PWM control for a direct-drive flight control actuation system is proposed. In the original H-bridge amplifier control loop, proper feedback compensation fails to enhance the system bandwidth due to nonlinear saturation effect. The design function of the presented circuit is to increase the amplifier's slew rate by extending its linear operation range. Experimental results show that the system bandwidth is enlarged from 150 Hz to 500 Hz.>
