Abstract
Boolean operations are used widely in Solid Model System. However, as Boolean operation is used more frequently, the model’s data will be much more complex and the calculating time will be increased. Therefore, modify the Boolean algorithm becomes very important, This paper presents a new Boolean algorithm to solve the difficulties of the traditional one, meanwhile, preserving the way to edit or modify the model after Boolean operations.
Intuitive modeling has been more and more popular recently. It can modify the shape of model rapidly; moreover, it doesn’t need to record the huge amount of constructing process and dimension constrains to edit the model, making it the trend of CAD system. This paper presents the procedure for modifying model partially. The nonparametric modeling can be implemented in Spring Solid System by using the intuitive extension or shrinking on the face of the model to modify the shape and construction data.
