Abstract
In this project, the TPS gene will be
transferred to rice (TNG 67 or TK 9) by
Agro-infection methods. We will select
the high tolerance of draught in
transgenic progeny.
Now we obtained transgenic plants that
constitutive or stress-inducible promoters
drove the TPS gene. The transgenic lines
contained a low copy number of transgene
that achieved transcription by
northern-bolt. The TPS protein was
overexpressin in E.coli., therefore will
proceed western blot after TPS protein
being purified. Our data show the
transgenic rice are salt tolerant. The
draught tolerant plant will be found as
soon as possible.
