Abstract
Abstract In this paper, we studies the influence of traditional literature on the poem and poetry of Joseon dynasty with special attention given to the period of early and middle ages poetry of Joseon dynasty and the effect of the poetry of Tang and Song Dynasties. At the periods, Joseon dynasty literati embraced the poems of SU, Shi, Huang, Ting-Jian, Jiangxi Poetry Faction and Chen, Shi-Dao. The works and the poetic skills induced scholars to follow and to imitate, both in pattern, content and philosophy. In such a process, a group of poets are found to be prominent in their learning attitude toward Huang, Ting-Jian and Jiangsi Poetry Faction and they called themselves as Haedong-Jiangsi Faction. In addition to learning the poetic features of Huang, Ting-Jian and Jiangsi Poetry Faction, they also followed the works and thinking of poems of Du Fu, the famous poet of Tang Dynasty. In Haedong-Jiangxi faction, the exile poetry works are most worth to note, which are full of worrying about the country and the people and care about family. Since No Su-Sin felt all the time troubled and miserable when he was expatriated to Jindo and Suncheon and he pacified himself through the poems of Du Fu and demonstrate his emotion of “Worrying about the Country and the People” as well as “Care about Family. The most common point of No Su-Sin and Du Fu is their patriotism and care about family brewed through their miserable lives. The similarity in the life and in situation, one can uncover the feature of expression in their poems. In the content of poems No Su-Sin borrowed skill of poem and imitated the content of Du Fu in his chanting over subjects of the king, the country, the people and family. In addition to the above, it can be noted that No Su-Shin created his own poetic style through poems of Du Fu. In the content and skill of employing of poem, we can find the poetic characteristic of No Su-Sin. The center of this study is reviewing the poetic works of No Su-Sin in the period of his exile. No Su-Sin is best in employing poems of Tang and Song Dynasties, we can see what are the effect of poems of Song Dynasty represented by Huang Ting-Jian and Jiangsi Poetry Faction and Poem of Tang Dynasty represented by Du Fu on the poetry circle of Joseon dynasty in early and middle ages.
