Abstract
This special issue of Inverse Problems and Imaging with title "Analytical aspects of inverse problems in PDEs" is dedicated to the memory of Victor Isakov, a world leading expert in the field of inverse problems for partial differential equations (PDE).Over the course of his distinguished career, Isakov made numerous fundamental contributions to inverse scattering, the Caldern problem, inverse problems for elliptic, parabolic, and hyperbolic PDE, inverse problems of potential theory, as well as uniqueness in the Cauchy problem.
