Abstract
The traditional ball bar system cannot be used to test the performance of CNC machine tools under a cutting test. Thus, a non-contact in-processing cutting test system (NICTS) is first proposed for the performance test of a CNC machine tool in the actual cutting process. The traditional ball bar system is modified and can be used in the cutting process. Experimental tests of a dynamic performance test of CNC machine tools for non-cutting process and the cutting process are also completed.
