Abstract
This paper presents a dual-channel D-band IQ receiver utilizing a cost-effective heterogeneous integration of 28 nm CMOS and WIPD substrates. Key passive components such as antennas, power dividers, and polyphase filters are implemented on the WIPD to reduce silicon area and enhance modularity. Two IF combination strategies - polyphase filter (PPF) and resistor network - are realized and compared. Measurement results show a peak conversion gain (CG) of -9.2 dB and effective image rejection ratio (IRR). A normalized cost comparison indicates a 4.6× reduction when offloading passive functions to WIPD. These results validate the WIPD-based platform for compact and cost-efficient high-frequency receiver integration.
