Abstract
The world is suffering from terrible effects of global climate change. In the awakening of human consciousness by climate change, several countries are concentrating all forces to implement a "green revolution" to deal with this threat.
Many Green building standards have been developed for design, construction, and operation more effectively. The green building sectors are resulted from people who want to protect life and sustain the natural resource on their own homes-the Earth.
Vietnam is one of five countries most heavily affected by climate change. However, Vietnam is slow to build institution and policy for the development of green building standard.
The objective of this research is to evaluate green building standard in Vietnam, named LOTUS. In order to improve the existing Lotus, opinions and suggestions are solicited from leading experts in the field of construction for enhancing the development of a better green building standard in Vietnam
