Abstract
A fuzzy cell-mapping control algorithm formally proposed for motor control is extended to the application of satellite attitude maneuvering stabilizing control. The cell-mapping method treats the complex satellite altitude dynamics, and the fuzzy interpretation helps achieve a suitable control effort. The result is a smooth transition from maneuvering to stabilization without overshoot while maintaining an optimal control performance.
