X (3872) in lattice QCD with exact chiral symmetry

Abstract
We investigate the mass spectrum of 1+ + exotic mesons with quark content (cq over(c, ̄) over(q, ̄)), using molecular and diquark-antidiquark operators, in quenched lattice QCD with exact chiral symmetry. For the molecular operator {(over(q, ̄) γi c) (over(c, ̄) γ5 q) - (over(c, ̄) γi q) (over(q, ̄) γ5 c)} and the diquark-antidiquark operator {(qT C γi c) (over(q, ̄) C γ5 over(c, ̄)T) - (over(q, ̄) C γiT over(c, ̄)T) (qT C γ5 c)}, both detect a resonance with mass around 3890 ± 30 MeV in the limit mq → mu, which is naturally identified with X (3872). Further, heavier exotic meson resonances with JPC = 1+ + are also detected, with quark content (cs over(c, ̄) over(s, ̄)) around 4100 ± 50 MeV. © 2007 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
