Abstract
The purpose of this case study was to understand the role confict and coping behaviors of puerpera who was newly diagnozed as a HIV carrier transmitted from her husband. Data were collected through nursing process recording, and then analyzed with content analysis. THe findign revealed that her life change induced the changing role and conflict. All the data were analyzed and categorized into three aspects: 1. the dilema between dependant and indepandant role taking. 2. The conflict between ideal and real role behaviors. 3. The conflict between her husband and children 's needs. Her coping behaviors included: active management and maintaining action. Three references groups including family support, network health team, and social support group supported her to face and deal with role conflict. During this period, the nurse served as an important agent in helping the mother to adapt to life and role change in order to regainrole competence. 產婦住院接受剖腹產一週期間，將照顧產婦及新生兒過程中，與產婦會談的過程以敘 述方式，寫成行為過程記錄，包括其語言及非語言行為，共計七篇，並予內容分析法 整理歸納。結果發現個案產後面對種種改變時，其角色衝突項目有三個類別：一、依 賴性與獨立性角色選擇困擾、二、理想與實際角色表現衝突、及三、面對先生與子女 間需求的衝突，個案因應的調適行為有1.積極性與2.維持性調適行為。角色調適過程 中支持協助個案之參考團體有(1)個案家庭支持體系(2)醫療團隊(3)社會資源。護理 人員藉由關懷( Caring)的理念與照護，陪同個案共同走過此一歷程後，深切體認出 個案所處之困境與需求，並再度肯定護理的意義與功能。
