Abstract
In this thesis, we proposed a music-driven summarization system for home videos based on several content-aware mechanisms. Many audio/video features are employed to help analyzing input audio/video and then combining them to synchronize the input audio and video together. The synchronization is done by making the rhythm of the video fits that of the audio.
We also proposed four profiles for synchronizing video with audio, which provide users more flexibilities in the synchronization process. Because of users’ direct sympathetic response to music, the created musical video is professional looking and more entertaining. According to our subjective test, all of the testers are amazed by our system and feel very impressive. Most of the testers are glad to have such an effective tool to help them editing their creations, automatically.
