Abstract
A nascent rotational population distribution of the CaH product (v=0 and 1) as a result of the Ca(4s4p1P1) with CH4 reaction was reported. As such, the rotational distribution was found to be unimodal with a feature of low Boltzmann rotational and high vibrational temperature, marked different from the bimodal nature of Mg(31P). Given the rotational distributions of the CaH v=0 and 1 levels, the product energy disposals in the states of rotation and vibration were evaluated.
