Abstract
A SC-EQCM has been developed in this thesis by integrating a dual-mode SC-quartz and a Electrochemistry detection capabilities. The SC-EQCM depicts that SC-quartz can use B-mode signals as a self- temperature sensor to achieve a - 550HzΔf/°C linearity, and can use C-mode signals as a mass (viscosity..) sensor. In addition, the Electrochemistry sub-system, which was demonstrated to integrate well with the QCM as its input AC or AC ride on DC signals will not influence QCM signals, provides the newly developed system with many new found biochemistry detection capabilities.
In SC-EQCM experiment, what was equipped with two platinum electrode, used LabVIEW to measure the B-mode and the C-mode frequency and electric current simultaneously. Experimental results indicated that the current is linearly proportional the concentration of glucose, the B-mode frequency can measure the redox phenomenon, and the C-mode frequency can detect the viscosity variations.
