Abstract
The frequency behaviour of the electrical properties of field-aligned CrO2 needle-shape powders has been investigated by the impedance spectroscopy method. The low frequencies R(f) increase with increasing θ, the angles between the applied current direction and the easy axis of the aligned samples. The specific frequency, of which a maximum -X(f) occurred, is varied towards the lower ones as θ increased. Analysis, based on classical electromagnetism as well as equivalent circuit method, has been performed to disclose the mechanism underlying for AC conductivity. © 2004 Elsevier B.V.
