Abstract
Personalized service is to provide users the information they need. Personalized
service is more important to the development of the Internet and E-commerce. For the
service users, they can reduce the search time for ‾nding the suited service through
personalized service. For service providers, providing users better personalized ser-
vice can increase the customers' satisfaction degree. However, because providing cus-
tomers personalized service needs customers' personal data, customers worry about
that their privacy may be violated. Because of this worry, customers would not like
to provide their personal data. Therefore, customers and service providers cannot get
their best bene‾t.
We believe that providing a way to let customers get personalized service without
releasing personal data can let customers and service providers get their best bene‾t.
In order to achieve this goal, we provide a richer personal data ontology, a service
ontology and an agent in this thesis. Users use this richer personal data ontology
to describe themselves more completely. A service ontology combines personal data
ontology to provide service providers a way to describe their service's customer quali-
‾cation and target customer condition. The agent, which contains personal data, will
mimic the process of user to select suited service for user. Besides, we implement an
application scenario, which provides personalized loan service to demonstrate that we
really achieve our goal.
