Abstract
The study of land use change and environmental impact is an interdisciplinary research subject as well as a major topic for human ecological study. In this research project, it is am attempt to explore aquacultural land use change and its impact on the environment through examining related land use change in the I-Lan region. The research objectives are as follows:
1. To collect the historical data in past three hundred years related to the topic.
2. To utilize GIS method to collect the data of aquacultural land use and the extent of its impact on environment.
3. To apply spatial analysis method to analyze the aquacultural land use and its impact.
4. To apply sptial analysis method to analyze the change of aquacultural land use.
5. To apply spatial analysis method to analyze the environmental impact of aquacultural land use.
6. To establish a predictive model on the change of aquacultural land use.
This research will be conducted with five stages in three years. The third stage of the third year has completed the above six objectives in the I-Lan region.
