Abstract
I use "The Big Push Theory" which is creative by Rosenstein and Rodan (1943) to improve the importance in the role of local government for Chongqing’s development. Further, by using Murphy, Shleifer and Vishny’four model (1989), I discuss and analyze the connotation of "Chongqing Model" and its successful experience.Finally, I discuss the establishment of Chongqing Liangjiang New Area, and compare Chongqing Liangjiang New Area and Tianjin Binhai New Area to analyze the relative advantages and future development of Chongqing.
