Abstract
Abstract The main scope of this thesis is to analyze the value of information on Web 2.0 internet platform. It will analyze the position of Web 2.0 website and the optimal design for their functions from the perspective on content. The value of Web 2.0 bases on the content shared by the users. Therefore, the analysis results from the perspective on content are more important than those from the perspective on function. First, this thesis will introduce Web 2.0, including the meaning, property and business model, then use some famous theories as analysis tool to discuss web 2.0. The most important part of this thesis is the information analysis model of internet platform in chapter 3, the model is used to analyze the value of information from the perspective on content. By model’s three axes- information demander, information value time and information accumulation, it can compare the position of different Web 2.0 websites and help Web 2.0 developers to design functions in order to make the transmission of information in optimal situation. Social Network Service is the most popular one in various Web 2.0 service types now. Because the core value of Social Network Service is to facilitate one-to-many communication, and every function in Social Network Service website should transmit information correctly in order to optimize social interaction. In chapter 4, this thesis will introduce two Social Network Service websites - mixi (Japan) and Facebook (America). It is not easy to satisfy user’s need in online social behavior; therefore, the functions in Social Network Service are more complex than other Web 2.0 Services. In chapter 5, this thesis will introduce Unis, which is the best Social Network Service website in Taiwan. I use the information analysis model of internet platform to design and develop every function of Unis.
