Abstract
Mesostructured nanocomposite with complete pore-filling of fluorescent molucules is an interesting subject since such hybrid materials would provide greater control over the molecular alignment and stability. In this thesis, we tried to prepare such nanocomposites using fluorescent surfactants as templates. In the first part, fluorescent surfactants with different hydrophobic chain length were successfully synthesized by multiple coupling reactions. After Sol-Gel process, mesostructured nanocomposites with optoelectronic properties were obtained in either powder form or as thin films by one-step synthesis. Photoluminescence (PL) behavior and physical properties of the resulting materials were fully characterized by several techniques.
In the second part, fluorescent surfactants with different conjugated system were synthesized and then used as templates to prepare functional nanocomposites. The resulting nanocomposites could have both the ordered mesostructure and the PL property without further treatments. In short, we successfully prepared mesostructured nanocomposites with optoelectronic property by one-step synthesis in both parts.
In the third part, we tried to develop a method which could prepare nanocrystalline organics/TiO2 porous composites in one step. The physical properties of the composites were characterized by the N2 adsorption-desorption isotherm, XRD, UV-Vis, PL, TGA, TEM, and SEM.
