Abstract
In this thesis, we will discuss the error performance and power spectrum on the correlatively coded OFDM with trellis purging (PCE-OFDM). First, PCE-OFDM trellis assignment can be derived from correlatively coded OFDM (CE-OFDM ) trellis structure by using signal label set partitioning and purging rules. The power spectral density (PSD) of transmitted PCE-OFDM signal can then be analyzed after realizing the encoder for given PCE-OFDM trellis structure. Second, PCE-OFDM is shown to provide the same extremely small sidelobes as CE-OFDM. Eventually, we study the bit error rate (BER) characteristics among uncoded and CE-OFDM and PCE-OFDM on Additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) and tow-ray fading channels.
