Abstract
Nowadays, financial liberalization plays an important role in economic globalization. Some scholars hold the opinion that financial liberalization could accelerate economic growth. In order to verify whether financial liberalization will have a positive effect on economic growth in China, in this essay, firstly, some theories of financial liberalization will be clarified. Secondly, based on related policies of financial liberalization in China, the financial liberalization index will be built. In the end, an empirical study based on inter-provincial panel data will be used to verify the effect of financial liberalization on economy of china. This study will provide an evidence for policy maker to build up a better financial system for China.
