Abstract
With the development of UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) applications, reliable control on the UAV group is believed to be an important issue. One of the decisive elements for the ground node to perform reliable control is UAV communication. However, when a UAV with a poor link to the ground node, it may suffer from low communication reliability. In order to maintain communication reliability, it is beneficial for UAV networks to introduce relay and form the two-hop UAV network structure. As a result, we propose a cellular D2D (Device-to-Device Communications) based MAC design for UAV network supporting high reliable communication and two-hop topology in this paper. To further enhance reliability, four feedback mechanisms are compared to find a better solution for the two-hop UAV network. Simulation and analysis are provided to evaluate the performance of UAV network in cellular D2D technology. © 2019 IEEE.
