Abstract
Altruism is a kind of spiritual orientation, and its purpose is to enhance the interests of others or the welfare of society as a whole. The topic of Entrepreneurship and Business Model Design For Altruism will be discussed in this paper.
At first, we will explore the altruistic spirit of religious philanthropist by the systematic thinking of Ken Wilber’s Integral Approach. The paradigm of Mother Teresa, and Master Cheng Yen, will be used as a model to illustrate the entrepreneurial spirit of altruism.
In addition to the the altruistic spirit of religious philanthropist, an overall design concept for developing the Business Model of religious and charitable organizations will be demonstrated in this paper- including how to propose the value proposition and develop the total solution for enhancing the social welfare.
In the case studies, some practical cases will be discussed for illustrating the entrepreneurship and business model design for altruism, such as, Yunus who develops the Business Mode of Micro-Fiance in the case of Grameen Bank, and Bill Gates who establishes the operation model in the case of Bill Gates and Melinda Foundation.
