Abstract
Many studies have verified that TADAS have good performance in seismic engineering. Structure systems must have appropriate space to set up TADAS limits the effect of TADAS. In addition, with different earthquakes which have different characteristics, the degree of the energy dissipation and earthquake alleviation of the frames with energy dissipating devices is varied. The purposes of this study are testing seismic responses of frames with TADAS.
The test results represent that the frames with TADAS have good efficiency in decreasing displacements and shear force of column. And hysteretic loops of TADAS show that TADAS are good ductility members.
Prestressed structure systems have the property of frame recentering and result in small residual displacements after earthquakes. In Taiwan, there haven’t been any researchs on the analytic model for this type of system. Therefore, the study of spectrum parameters for prestressed structure systems will make all understand the effects of those parameters on prestressed member.
The results of analysis show that the characteristics of tendon and energy dissipating device obviously influence energy dissipation of prestressed member. In addition, the hysteretic behavior of prestressed member can be simulated by PISA3D precisely.
