Abstract
A graphene based saturable absorber (SA) on stable mode-locked fiber laser (MLFL) employing nano-micro dispersant is proposed. A short pulse of 382 fs and 3-dB bandwidth of 6.66 nm were obtained. This study demonstrates that a homogeneously dispersed graphene SA is necessary for producing stable-ultrafast and high-performance MLFLs. © 2012 IEEE.
