Abstract
In this study, we synthesize a series of symmetrical and unsymmetrical small molecules containing perylene bisdiimide (PDIs). The substituent effects on the photophysical and electrochemical properties of these aryl-substituted perylene diimides (1-ArPDIs and 1,7-Ar2PDIs) have been carefully explored. We use the molecules as black cathode of OLED, and the reflectance can be reduced and the reflectance is 7.32%.
Because of the properities of broadening absorption spectrum of these molecules, we also synthesize a series of polymers containing perylene bisdiimide (PDIs). We use the polymers as the activle layer material of organic bulk heterojunction solar cell. By systematical research, we know the behavior of these polymers in solar cell. The device structure is ITO/PDEOT:PSS/Active layer (PVK:P9:PCBM=0.1:0.9:4)/LiF/Al. The maximun power conversion efficiency (PCE) is 0.122%.
