Abstract
A slow J/ψ excess exists in the inclusive B→J/ψ+X spectrum, and is indicative of some hadronic effect. From the color octet nature of the cc̄ pair in b→cc̄s decay, one such possibility would be B→J/ψ+Kg decay, where Kg is a hybrid resonance with s̄gq constituents. We show that a Kg resonance of ∼2 GeV mass and suitably broad width could be behind the excess. © 2003 The American Physical Society.
