Abstract
Magnetoquasistatic (MQS) and electroquasistatic (EQS) formulations are applied to model magnetic and capacitive hyperthermia, respectively, on treating hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Finite element method is used to compute the field distribution in the treated area, and a bio-heat equation is solved to compute the temperature distribution therein. The efficacy of magnetic and capacitive hyperthermia in treating HCC is analyzed and compared.
