Abstract
Sewer (including sanitary sewer and
storm sewer) construction has become one of
the most important works for national civil
infrastructural systems. Our government has
prepared a fund of more then 100 billion
NT$ for this big project in order to improve
the stream pollution and quality of life for the people.
This research project carried out the
integration on related subjects, such as
environmental engineering, hydraulics,
structural mechanics, soil mechanics,
material, construction, etc.. In the course of
research, potential institutions, professors,
and professionals who showed interest in join
this integrated research project in next few
years was outlined. Through the forms of
seminar, questionnaires and up-to-date
developments from domestic and foreign
sources, we summarized the ideas and
thoughts from consulting companies,
government agencies and universities to
provide information and assistance on new
technology development for sewer
construction in Taiwan.
