Abstract
Zhu Zumou(朱祖謀) was seen as one of the four significant masters in Late Qing Dynasty. His contribution mainly focused on the studies of Ci Theories from Song to Qing Dynasty. In addition, he also encouraged young writers to compose poetry.
This study includes two volumes. In the first chapter of volume 1, the biography of Zhu Zumo had been re-investigated with new literatures. The second chapter of volume 1 includes the emendation on all of Zhu Zumo’s poetry and Ci-Lyric works, compilation of lost works and the chronological quotation articles based on the inter-conflation of different editions of collections. The third chapter has investigated how Zhu zumuo’s created behaviors in the literature societies of Beijing and Shanhai. Especially in the third section of chapter 3, the self-identification of Zhu Zumo has been investigated throughout the poem inscription for Qiangcun Jiaoci Tu(彊邨校詞圖) by the society Qing loyalist and the new generation of Ci-lyrics creating. The fourth chapter uncovered the inner thoughts and emotions of Zhu zumo through editing and emendation of his Ci-lyrics works, and observed Zhu’s involvement in Ci-lyrics crating career after the collapse of Qing Dynasty. Besides, Xuansheng Ji(選勝集) which includes the signature of Zhu in National Central Library has textual- researched to proof that is not edited by Zhu. The fifth chapter includes the characteristic and the influence of Zhu’s poetry. The Sixth chapter has concluded the entire research, and has raised that annotating the poetry by Zhu and expending Zhu’s theory of Ci-lyric to be the promising subjects of the future researches.
