Abstract
This study employs two-person ratio
efficiency games to evaluate the technical
efficiency of teaching hospitals in 1995.
Furthermore, the impacts of external
environment factors on hospital efficiency
are investigated through regression analyses.
Among the 118 hospital in the sample,
15 of them are efficient, in which three are
medical centers, three are regional hospitals,
and nine are district teaching hospitals.
There exist differences in efficiency among
different accreditation levels. The product
differentiation significantly affects hospital
efficiency.
